Before You Start: Bettermile App Use Notice  

The Bettermile App is an application provided by GLS eCom Lab GmbH (“Bettermile”, “we”, “us”). 


The Bettermile App helps drivers navigate the last mile of their parcel delivery. It is designed for delivery drivers assigned by one of our Customers to deliver parcels on their behalf from the logistics centre to the consignees.


“You”, “User”, or “Driver”, as referred to in these terms, is the end user of the Bettermile App, and by “Customer” we refer to the organization with which Bettermile has an agreement and on whose behalf you deliver parcels to consignees using the Bettermile App. 

The use of the Bettermile App is governed by the Agreement between us and the Customer. The Agreement regulates the delivery of our Services to the Customer, who is providing you with the login credentials to use the App. However, as a User, there are some important terms you should be aware of when using our services, as they are applicable to you. By using the App, you agree to comply with these terms, which are designed to ensure proper and responsible usage of our services.

1. Bettermile Account, App Access and Use

In order to use the Bettermile App, you need an account. For this purpose, the Customer provides you with the necessary login credentials.

If and insofar as the Customer has provided you with valid login credentials, you have the right to use the Bettermile App with your account for the purpose of parcel delivery. 

2. Intellectual Property


2.1. Bettermile and its suppliers reserve all intellectual property and other rights, title and interest in the Bettermile App and in all other content, software and other properties provided or used through the Bettermile App not expressly granted to the User.

2.2. You shall not remove, modify, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary right notices.

2.3. You shall not use the Bettermile App in a way that permits or seeks to permit the unauthorized use, disclosure or access of/to Bettermile data or products, including but not limiting:  data mining, copying, storing, transmitting, assigning, (re)selling, (sub)licensing, distributing, displaying, publishing, benchmarking, scanning, monitoring, mirroring, framing, embedding, scraping, linking, modifying, translating, combining, creating derivative works, disassembling, decompiling, and reverse engineering

 3. Use of your Feedback

You may but have no obligation to provide feedback, comments, ideas or other suggestions regarding the Bettermile App to us. If you provide feedback to Bettermile, you agree that Bettermile, its affiliates and its suppliers may use this feedback in particular for product enhancement and advertising without restriction and without any obligation to you. The use is made in compliance with all data protection requirements and no personal data will be used if the feedback is published.

4. Acceptable Use

4.1.  Security

  1. Keep your account credentials secure and confidential. 
  2. Do not allow others to use your account or access others’ accounts without permission.

4.2. Compliance with Laws

While using the Bettermile App, you shall observe the applicable law, regulation or directive, including but not limited to advertising, export, traffic and privacy. 

4.3. Personal conduct

  1. You shall use the Bettermile App in a respectful manner towards other users and third parties.
  2. You shall not use the Bettermile App to distribute, display, or share any content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. 
  3. You shall only use the Bettermile App for the purpose of parcel delivery. 
  4. You shall not use the Bettermile App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, including but not limited to criminal activities. 
  5. You shall not use the Bettermile App in a way that interferes with or disrupts the Bettermile App or Service or the networks connected to the Bettermile App or Service.
  6. You shall not use the Bettermile App in a way that aims or results in: a) bypassing, violating, testing, or undermining any security protocols; or b) gaining unauthorized access to information, services, or systems.

5. Privacy and Data

The data we collect from you while using the App, as well as the data you work with within the App, is Customer Data, which means that our customer, your organization, is the Controller of that data and we process it only in accordance with Customer instructions.

Therefore, the customer is solely responsible to inform you of any applicable policy and relevant practice, as well as to ensure the lawful processing of the data. 

Nevertheless, in the case of  the Usage Data, data regarding your interaction with the app, Bettermile acts as Controller. 

Bettermile follows the applicable privacy regulations to protect your personal data. You can learn more about how Bettermile processes personal data in our Privacy Policy (For clarification: The Privacy Policy only contains information on the processing of personal data and is not part of the user terms.). 


6. No Applicability of consumer law

Bettermile App is a tool intended for use by businesses and organisations and not for consumer purpose. Therefore, and to the extent permitted by law, consumer laws do not apply. 


7. Modifications 

Bettermile reserves the right to change these App Use Notice , especially to adapt them to changed legal and technical conditions.

If we make a material change to this notice, we will provide you with reasonable notice prior to the change taking effect. You can review the most current version of the App Use Notice at any time in the App. 

If you use the Services after the effective date of any changes, that use will constitute your acceptance of the revised terms and conditions.

Changes that are solely advantageous or neutral for you, as well as changes required due to amended legal conditions, will become effective immediately.
